About Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated
Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated is the first Multicultural Greek Letter Society. It was founded on November 21st, 1981 by five women who wanted to unite all women, regardless of race, religion, or creed. We refer to the five women who founded Mu Sigma Upsilon as our founding mothers, for they achieved what mothers do and began a family. To this day, they still care for and guide our sorority and its sisters.
Since 1981 Mu Sigma Upsilon has rapidly expanded to over fifty chapters established throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, Kansas, Virginia, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Washington D.C., Nebraska, West Virginia, and Colorado. The sisters of Mu Sigma Upsilon are a diverse group of more than 1,000 women from 80+ cultural backgrounds. Learn more about Mu Sigma Upsilon at: www.msu1981.org. |

TWLOHA Vision:
The vision is that we actually believe these things:
You were created to love and be loved.
You were meant to live life in relationship with other people, to know and be known.
You need to know your story is important, and you're part of a bigger story.
You need to know your life matters.
We live in a difficult world, a broken world. We believe everyone can relate to pain, all of us live with questions, and all of us get stuck in moments. You need to know you're not alone in the places you feel stuck.
We all wake to the human condition. We wake to mystery and beauty, but also to tragedy and loss. Millions of people live with problems of pain. Millions of homes are filled with questions—moments, and seasons, and cycles that come as thieves and aim to stay. We know pain is very real. It is our privilege to suggest that hope is real and help is real.

Chapter Philanthropy
March of Dimes' mission is to help moms have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies. In local communities across the country, March of Dimes helps moms take charge of their health and supports families when something goes wrong. Globally, March of Dimes acts by sharing best practices in perinatal health and helps to improve birth outcomes where the needs are the most urgent.
March for Babies is a fundraising march that takes place in over 700 communities across the nation every year. This year, 3 million people will walk in teams comprised of family, friends and colleagues. This annual walk is fun, compelling and rewarding as teams raise awareness and funds for March of Dimes: March for Babies. Find out more at www.marchforbabies.org. |
"When you walk in March for Babies, you give hope to nearly half a million babies born too soon each year. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. We’ve been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2.3 billion to benefit all babies." |
